Descended from the Sky

A row of long pale ceramic forms ending in faces projecting from a white wall, casting long shadows

Made at an international ceramics symposium on the shore of Lake Baikal, a landscape shaped by shamanic belief. Galstyan said the place left a tangible mark on everyone who worked there.

Long clay forms, each ending in a face, lean out from the wall in a row, like figures carried in on the wind.
