The Society of the Spectacle

An installation after Guy Debord’s book The Society of the Spectacle. Hundreds of faces cover the wall, all turned towards something outside the frame.

It is a crowd made only of spectators: a picture of a society that consumes images and longs for the next show. With this work Galstyan returned to exhibiting in 2014, after years of directing documentaries.
